Industry Overview

Route specialized requirements through one clear manufacturing intake

Capability-based sourcing for rugged components, controlled revisions, program hardware, and documented production workflows. 3DWK helps separate process selection, technical requirements, documentation, and delivery context so the right questions are visible early.

01

Technical fit

Match geometry, material, tolerance, finish, and process requirements to the appropriate manufacturing route.

02

Program clarity

Keep files, revisions, quantities, quality expectations, and delivery context together in the RFQ.

03

Production continuity

Use prior RFQs, approved revisions, and supplier preferences when work becomes repeat production.

Industry FAQ

Questions to answer in your RFQ

What should be included in an industry-specific RFQ?

Include current CAD and drawings, material, quantity, critical tolerances, surface finish, inspection records, packaging, delivery requirements, and any program or supplier restrictions.

Can one project use multiple manufacturing processes?

Yes. Multi-part or assembled programs may combine machining, additive manufacturing, sheet metal, molding, casting, finishing, and assembly.

Can a previous supplier be requested for repeat work?

Include the previous RFQ and supplier preference. Capability, availability, quality, commercial, and delivery conditions still need confirmation.
